So much better than a regular apple pie, tastes scrumptious !! Just follow the recipe as directed and you'll have a sweet, cinnamon-y, moist pastry that is a year round hit, no matter the season !! For a more intense Fall flavor, I used a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves instead of just cinnamon. I hope Enjoy and have fun!
INGREDIENTS :
#For Topping:
° Gold Medal ™ all-purpose flour: 1 cup
° Packed light brown sugar: half a cup
° Salt: quarter a tspn
° Butter: 1 cup (chopped into small pieces)
#For Apple Mixture:
° Apples: 6 (peeled and thinly sliced)
° Ground cinnamon: 1 teaspoon
° Lemon juice cake: 2 teaspoons
#For Cake:
° Betty Crocker™ Super Moist™ yellow cake mix: 1 can
° Water: 1 1/3 cups
° Oil: 1/3 cup
° Eggs: 3
METHOD :
1. Set the temperature of your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit (325 degrees Fahrenheit for dark or nonstick pans) before starting. Using flour baking spray, spray the bottom and sides of a 13 '' x 9 '' tray.
2. Then you're going to get a medium bowl and mix in together flour, 1/2 cup brown sugar and salt. Next, chop the butter until the mixture crumbles with a pastry mixer or fork and sit aside.
3. Gently mix the apple mixture ingredients together in another medium bowl and sit aside.
4. With an electric mixer on a low speed, beat the cake ingredients in a large bowl for 30 seconds, then on a medium speed for two minutes, scraping the bowl from time to time. And please pour into the pan.
5. The apple mixture needs to be spread evenly over the cake mixture at this stage. Evenly sprinkle over it.
6. Once done, bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, it takes around for 30 to 35 minutes. Finally, permit cooled completely for half an hour.
